Microsoft Startup Founders program grants for AI apps: A success story and how you can apply
A month ago, I submitted an application to the Microsoft Startup Founders program, highlighting my launched AI coding assistant app that already serves active users. Shortly after, I received notice that I had been approved for a $3,500 grant along with a suite of licenses for 12 months, including Visual Studio Enterprise, GitHub Enterprise, and more.
Breakdown of the $3,500 in credits:
– $2,500 in OpenAI credits
– $1,000 in Azure credits
These credits align with the costs I was already incurring, so I decided to use them directly. Microsoft promptly assigned the OpenAI credits, which I applied to enhance AI features within a VS Code-based AI coding assistant that supports the grant recipient’s project. The impact has been substantial and ongoing.
If you’ve launched an AI application, you can apply too. The program is accessible and has the potential to provide meaningful support for growing your product and team.
